With April Fool’s Day 2024 ads killing it this year, we were bound to do at least one more blog covering the best adverts from this year. Honestly, I was hoping that more brands would dish out funny commercials on April Fool’s Day considering how engaging video content has become over the years. But the few who thought of releasing their ads did a great job.
So, here we are with 5 incredible April Fool’s Day 2024 ads that made us sit up and say, “Wait, is this real?”
1. Western Australia Police Force: Croc Launch
Western Australia’s Police Force launched custom footwear on 1st April for all its officials to enhance their speed on foot chases.
Thanks to the aerodynamically designed Crocs with sports mode features, WA police officials can no longer be outrun. The only catch is that this launch came on April Fool’s Day. So, I am not quite sure who they were trying to get- criminals or their audiences on social media platforms!
2. Surfshark: Invisible Cloak
Have you ever felt like disappearing after having an embarrassing moment in front of your friends, family, or colleagues? Of course, you must have! Thanks to VPN service provider Surfshark, you can now hide yourself with their invisible cloak.
Now whether you want to hide yourself to avoid more meetings or don’t wish to be seen while munching on a bag of chips all by yourself, all you have to do is put on this cloak. Too bad this wonderful product disappeared from their inventory soon after April Fool’s Day.
3. Gymbox: Gymbarx
If the dog is man’s best friend, then it must accompany them everywhere, even to the gym. Popular London gym chain Gymbox tapped into the ever-increasing number of Britons who want to take their pet obsession to the next level by launching Gymbarx- gym sessions dedicated to your pets.
Now, the usual pet-sitting service would include exercising your furry friends too. The only problem is I don’t know how your pet is going to lift all that weight at the gym.
4. iFixit: Spudger Pro Ultra
American how-to website iFixit launched its latest spudger called Spudger Pro Ultra, which can assist you in repairing some of the biggest products.
Created by combining 1734 regular spudgers, Spudger Pro Ultra can outperform a regular spudger by a factor of 13. This means that for every device that you fix by using Spudger Pro Ultra, 12 other devices are going to fix themselves. So, …, wait, what???🥴
5. Waymo: Grandma Mode
American autonomous driving technology company Waymo released a wonderful 50-second spot this April Fool’s Day that showed passengers stepping into an AV tricked out like Grandma’s house.
From serving you mouth-watering food to treating you with chocolate milk, the Grandma Mode accompanied by its geriatric lady’s voice will remind you of your granny while gently reminding you to buckle up. Also, the crotchet steering wheel cover is surely going to add to your Grandma-feels.

April Fool’s Day ads are a great way for companies to drive engagement for their brands by tapping into the curiosity of their clientele. The only downside of such campaigns is that it leaves us wishing that these campaigns were genuine and not a prank.
