The ad follows a young girl who is seen discussing her friends with her mother and whom she should consider her best friend. Upon closely analyzing the ‘criterion’ for best friends, she concludes that her mother is indeed her closest friend.

You see, sometimes gems remain hidden in plain sight!

2. Westfield: Dear Mum

I have often maintained in my blogs that the connections of the heart carry more importance than biological bonds and this 15-second spot by the Australian shopping center company Westfield proves that.

The ad showcases the bond shared between a young girl and her aunt, who is always there for her niece. After all, as the girl says, you don’t have to be a mom to be a mom!

Westfield also launched a slightly “less impressive” second advert, which made little sense to me. But feel free to go through it too!

3. Ugaoo: Celebrating Different Kinds of Mothers

If Westfiled’s ad showcased how women often don different hats to execute the role of a mother, the Indian online gardening store Ugaoo the different forms of mother.

From the one-and-only Godmother and rich, child-free aunt to the group’s emergency contact and office colleague, women often perform motherly roles not only at home but also elsewhere. This cue spot highlights the giving nature of women and how they make the lives of everyone around them easy.

4. Hallmark: Mom

We call out her name when we’re happy, we do it when we are sad, we call out to her when we are scared, and we do it when we simply miss her.

That’s how important mothers are in our lives. Their constant presence adds an element of reassurance and helps calm our nerves. That’s the message delivered by this sweet 30-second spot by the American greeting card company Hallmark.

And could they be more spot-on? I don’t think so!

5. Qatar Airways

And here’s my favorite Mother’s Day 2025 advert so far. This lovely 2-minute advert by Qatar Airways showcases some of the airline’s female staff along with their children.

The ad showcases the children expressing their opinions on how they perceive the work being done by their mothers. Also, they talk about the things that their mothers do for them and what they are good at.

You see, a token of appreciation from one’s children can mean the world to them!
