So, here we are with 5 funny Diwali 2025 commercials that turned the festive chaos into an absolute laughter riot this season. Let’s take a look at these.

1. Flipkart: Big Bang Diwali Sale

The festival of Diwali symbolises new beginnings and is a time when people discard their old belongings and acquire new ones. That’s precisely why brands go big during Diwali, and Flipkart made the most of it by capturing the regular Diwali buying frenzy in this spot.

The ad showcases people carrying their old stuff to a spot as the timeless Bollywood song “Inteha Ho Gayi Intezar Ki” plays in the background, gradually building as they set their stuff on fire. Could the deals have been more ‘explosive’? I don’t think so!

2. Paragon: Special Moments

Diwali is a time when we become witnesses to some of the most unusual scenes. This advert by the Indian footwear brand Paragon is a montage of all such moments.

The 40-second spot showcases some of the rare moments, which we get to see only on Diwali. From the next-door funky girl putting on a traditional attire to the fitness-freak aunt gorging on sweets, the ad compiles many such moments in the most hilarious way possible.

My favorite is the uncle who only sends daily good morning messages, actually hugging people on the festive day!

3. Nothing: This Festive Season, Go Subtle or Go Nothing

You know you’re in for a laughter riot when an advert has the Indian dark comedy king Samay Raina associated with it in any way. And boy, did Samay stand true to his reputation.,

The spot begins like any other usual Diwali advert, but soon takes a turn and begins taking potshots at the traditional marketing adverts that brands dish out every Diwali. One thing is for certain i.e., despite being mired in legal intricacies back home, Samay’s sense of humor remains intact, and brands can definitely make the most of it.

4. Singaporean Government: Blockbuster Deepavali

The Singaporean government launched a funny Diwali commercial this year that shines a spotlight on community spirit, showing how everyone can brighten lives this Deepavali, including through the Community Chest SGSHARE Programme.

The ad follows the community hero and father, Kathir Kanth (Jaynesh), who dreams of decking out his home with an epic light display. But as the story unfolds, it’s the community coming together that truly lights up the festival. While the ad in itself doesn’t have a humorous plot, the performances of the actors involved and their fun expressions will surely make you let out a giggle or two.

5. Blinkit: The Gift

Indian instant commerce brand Blinkit’s Diwali 2025 advert is both funny and relatable.

The ad showcases two brothers who are busy updating their mother about the gifts that they have been asked to deliver to their relatives and family friends. But all hell breaks loose when the two innocent lads forget the gift for their mother’s air dresser. Just when the two of them are about to kill themselves out of fear, Blinkit saves the day and comes out like their savior.

Blinkit deserves an award, not so much for this ad but for its exceptional service👌

Wrapping Up

And that’s a wrap of yet another #FunnyFridays segment. While it’s not always easy to club the Diwali festive cheer with humor, the brands covered in this blog did it with much aplomb. If you’re planning to create a funny Diwali ad campaign next year, you could consider taking a leaf out of their playbook.

We’ll be back with more awesome ad campaigns for you. Till then, stay tuned!
