The holiday season this year has arrived with a familiar warmth – one that builds slowly, starting with shared meals, glowing lights, and moments of togetherness that feel a little more meaningful at this time of year. From Thanksgiving through Christmas and into the New Year, it’s a season shaped by emotion as much as celebration. The most memorable holiday commercials tap into this feeling, telling stories that reflect love, gratitude, family, and human connection. The ad campaigns from this year have done just that, setting the mood for the season with narratives that feel sincere, uplifting, and timeless.

So, here we are with 5 heartwarming Holiday 2025 commercials that set the festive tone beautifully, reminding us why this season resonates long after the decorations come down.
1. Chevrolet: Memory Lane
Holiday advertising can never feel complete without Chevrolet’s customary annual seasonal spot that tugs at the heartstrings.
The spot follows a woman and her husband as they take a road trip in their 1987 Chevy Suburban to the family cabin, stirring up a flood of memories along the way. The flashbacks of their past journeys with their children and the family dog explain the now-empty back row in the car. The ad beautifully captures the rollercoaster of emotions that the two empty-nesters go through with the Suburban turning from a winter-beater into a time capsule as the old couple relives all the happy moments from their past.
2. Facebook: Home for the Holidays
You know it’s going to be awesome when Facebook drops its first major brand campaign in four years.
Set against the background score by Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash, “Girl from the North Country”, the spot follows a group of friends reuniting in their hometown as a single Facebook message nudges them to plan a meet-up. The ad unfolds like a cinematic throwback to a much simpler time when feeds weren’t run on algorithms, notifications weren’t irritating, and Facebook, in general, was merely a place to keep in touch with your loved ones.
Watch the ad if you wish to fly back to the time when social media (read: Facebook) was all about connecting people and not minting money.
3. Kroger: Operation Gingerbread
Kroger’s Thanksgiving 2025 campaign revolves around its annual storytelling tradition, which yet again underscores its core belief that food connects us all.
This heartfelt commercial shows a young girl shaping a very special gingerbread cookie with the help of her family and friends. Upon the return of a key family member for the holidays, the reason for the cookie’s unique shape becomes color. Her efforts serve as a reminder that holidays are even sweeter when your loved ones are with you.
4. The Farmer's Dog: Thanks For Being Our Dogs
I was somewhat disappointed to see that not many brands had launched dedicated Thanksgiving campaigns this year and were instead going for a single, expansive advert for the entire Holiday season. Until, of course, I saw this lovely commercial by the U.S.-based pet food brand, The Farmer's Dog.
The ad pays tribute to our lovely pets, thanking them for their unconditional love and loyalty towards their owners and the support they offer without ever speaking our language. The heartwarming 50-second spot includes video clips, pictures, and audio snippets of owners thanking their dogs for all the love they have showered upon them.
Damn, a dog is everyone’s best friend, it seems!
5. Amazon: Joy Ride
Some traditions never get old, which explains why Amazon decided to do a re-run of their instant classic from 2023.
The ad showcases three elderly women wistfully watching children sledding down a hill in the park. When one of them notices her friend having difficulty sitting on the hard bench, she secretly purchases a seat cushion. When the gift arrives, her friends are perplexed until they are led to the real gifts– three sleds upon which they can place their new seat cushions.
As the three of them slide down the hill in pure joy and laughter, they reminisce about their childhood sledding adventures and trek back up the hill for another go.
Wrapping Up
As the festive season unfolds, these Holiday 2025 commercials remind us that the most enduring holiday stories aren’t driven by spectacle, but by feeling. Through quiet moments, familiar emotions, and deeply human connections, each of these ad campaigns captures the essence of the Holiday season in its own way. Together, they set a festive tone that lingers– from the warmth of Thanksgiving gatherings to the magic of Christmas– proving that the most powerful holiday advertising doesn’t just mark the moment, it becomes part of it.
We’ll be back with more amazing ad campaigns for you. Till then, stay tuned!
