Every Dussehra brings with it tales of triumph — not just of good over evil, but of transformation, courage, and renewal. This year, brands went beyond the traditional narrative of Rama and Ravana to explore modern battles — against prejudice, inequality, and apathy. Through powerful storytelling and heartfelt symbolism, these campaigns captured the spirit of change sweeping through society.

So, here we are with 5 impactful Dussehra 2025 commercials that didn’t just celebrate victory, but redefined what it means to rise above and begin anew.

1. Parle-G: Sharodiya Shubhechha

Goddess Durga’s idols form the very essence of Dussehra or Durga Puja. However, despite the high artistic value of these figurines, the ones sculpting these pieces of art are not considered artists. Why? Because most of them have neither a formal education nor a resume to showcase their expertise. Thankfully, this lovely commercial puts these sculptors in the spotlight.

The ad features a young woman attempting to persuade one of her superiors to invite an experienced and highly skilled sculptor as a visiting faculty member for the Clay Sculpture Department. However, the sculptor’s lack of a formal education gets in the way. But when the woman invites her colleagues over to her place for Dussehra celebrations, where they behold the beauty behind Goddess Durga’s sculptures, their emotions spill over through their eyes in the form of tears, which testify to the sculptor’s brilliance.

Sometimes, the emotions evoked by a piece of art bear a greater testimony to an artist’s prowess than any resume ever could!

2. redBus: Beats of Change

‘Dhaakis’, or professional drummers who play the drum to welcome Goddess Durga’s idols into homes and pandals, are the very soul of Durga Puja. However, it’s ironic that while the deity herself is a female, the ‘dhaakis’ are almost always men.

Thankfully, this powerful advert by redBus broke stereotypes by showcasing female ‘dhaakis’ and brought about the winds of change, shattering the age-old concept of gender roles.

3. Nikon: Shubho Sharodiya

The theme of homecoming is incredibly popular amongst marketers, especially when it comes to CNY or Christmas marketing.

However, Nikon decided to explore this theme through this lovely spot, wherein a young girl makes it to her home on Dussehra after she expresses her inability to participate in the festivities due to an important project. You see, the love and longing for one’s family, especially on Dussehra, make people figure out ways to be with them– just like during CNY🤪

4. Tata Motors: Beat the Evil of Blind Spots

Dussehra marks the victory of good over evil. So, Indian automobile manufacturer Tata Motors launched this gripping spot to urge the audience to awaken the goodness within them to defeat the evil.

Just like the demon king Ravana’s ten heads, Tata Motors’ ad campaign encourages viewers to tackle and defeat every emotion  that weakens them. From pessimism and self-doubt to negativity and despair, slay every evil within yourself this Dussehra!

5. Ambuja Cement: Shoktir Utshob

Dussehra is more than just a festival; it's a celebration of the triumph of inner strength and unwavering faith. This 3-minute music-filled spot by Ambuja Cement showcases the grandiosity of Goddess Durga and the infinite power that she embodies.

Wrapping Up

Dussehra 2025 ads did more than retell the age-old tale of good triumphing over evil — they redefined what victory means in today’s world. From gender equality to the triumph of self-belief, each campaign celebrated transformation in its own way. As brands embrace these winds of change, Dussehra’s spirit this year felt more relevant than ever.
