Leverage on the increase in programmatic advertising and availability of AI and Machine Learning to deliver ads to your customers at the right time.
Consider advertising on the Amazon platform. It is currently the third biggest advertising platform in the US (behind Facebook and Google).
Look at new ad formats such as the Google Responsive Search ads, Gallery ads and Discovery ads.
While Facebook and Instagram's growth seems stagnant, there is now more focus on the Stories ad format, as opposed to the Newsfeed.
Video ads will continue to be the trend, especially short ads like the Youtube bumper ads and Outstream video ads.
There will be a resurgence in native advertising because it does not rely on data and cookies to deliver ads but it is more relevant to your customers.
