Google Trends

While most people are aware of Google Trends, it is often overlooked by marketers. We can use it to look at trending search topics but we can also go deeper by looking at related topics and queries. These tell us what customers are looking for alongside the keywords.


Answer the Public

Answer The Public is a keyword tool that visualizes search questions and suggested autocomplete searches in an image called a search cloud. This is a really useful tool to benchmark what customers are looking for and identify gaps in your content marketing.


Ubersuggest

Ubersuggest is a free SEO tool that specializes in generating new keyword ideas. It was a tool that scraped Google Suggest terms but after acquisition by entrepreneur Neil Patel, it now has a feature called 'Content Ideas'. This will show you the top-performing pieces of content for a particular topic or keyword and the engagement, so you can see what content is working for your industry.
