Eid is often seen as a moment of reflection, gratitude, and togetherness– times when families come together to share meals, prayers, and a renewed sense of hope. Yet, for many, this sacred season also brings a quieter, more introspective reality. This reality is often one shaped by absence, sacrifice, and the emotional weight of memories that linger long after the moment has passed.
In recent years, brands have moved beyond celebratory storytelling to explore these deeper human experiences. Through narratives of caregiving, loss, longing, and resilience, these films reflect the unseen side of the festive season, where love is expressed not through grand gestures, but through endurance, responsibility, and silent strength.

So, here we are with five emotional Eid 2026 commercials, with each one of those rooted in love, yet shaped by pain, loss, sacrifice, and unwavering strength.
1. Bank Rakyat: Suara Hati
Every sacrifice has its own voice. Sometimes it is not expressed in words, but felt through love, sincerity, and selfless actions. This Eid, Malaysia’s largest Islamic cooperative bank, Bank Rakyat, launched the short film titled Suara Hati or Voice of the Heart, showcasing the selfless love of a child for his ailing mother.
The ad follows the heartbreaking story of a kid who faithfully takes care of his sick mother without knowing the meaning of tiredness and fatigue. Although the world is dark for him, the voice of his heart becomes the light that guides him to continue to serve the person he loves the most.
2. BHPetrol: Putus
Losing our parents is probably the scariest thought one can have as a child, yet it remains one of the harshest truths of life that one must confront at some stage. This Eid advert follows a man named Fazli, who navigates his way around the grief that pervades his life after his mother passes away.
The film shows Fazli being greeted by his friends and relatives on Eid and him reciprocating their wishes in kind, albeit with a solemn expression. We soon find out the reason behind his unhappiness as he breaks down while talking to his father about his mother, who is no longer with them. Thankfully, his father is still by his side to console him and tells him that while his mother prayed for his well-being all her life, he should now pray for her.
A mother's prayer is always a protector, and a father's love is always a strength– cherish them while they’re still around.
3. Petronas: Little Joys of Ramadan
Kindness doesn’t have to end when the festive lights go down. This 5-minute spot by Petronas appeals to the viewers to let their kindness and care flow through the year without exception, regardless of the festive season.
The ad opens with two sisters, Alia and Hana, embracing the excitement that comes with the beginning of Ramadan and through the days leading up to Eid. But the mood begins to change as Eid draws closer and the sisters begin to appear less cheerful as their initial excitement starts dissolving into an uneasy silence. What unfolds next reframes the entire story.
The ad reveals that the sisters are orphans who are being cared for at an orphanage. Their invitations to Iftars, the gifts, and the constant activities throughout Ramadan, and the attention– everything that the viewers have seen so far starts making sense. For these two girls and many others like them, Ramadan is the one month when they are remembered with people extending gestures of kindness in the form of charity dinners and distribution of clothes and gifts.
However, when Eid finally arrives, these children find themselves the loneliest as the world around them moves on from them, and the attention that they are showered with for the past month fades away. The ad ends with a message exhorting the viewers to not let their good deeds be bounded by seasons.
And why not? After all, with a bit of love and compassion, we have the power to make every day feel just as special as Eid for others.
4. Julie’s Biscuits: Kenangan Tu Ke Mana?
The memories we form with our loved ones stay with us for a lifetime and even when they begin to fade, their impact on our filial bonds remains just as strong. This heartwarming Eid film by Julie’s Biscuits is a classic lesson on why you must never take moments with your loved ones for granted.
The film follows an elderly woman named Hidayah, who visits a fictional memory storage centre to revisit memories from different stages of her life. She is aided by a customer service officer named Zamri, who takes her through past Eid celebrations with her son Azmir. However, as she revisits these moments, subtle glitches begin to appear in her memories, which are indicative of her unresolved issues with her son and the growing distance between the two.
You see, when presence gives way to busyness, gaps are bound to creep into any relationship. But will Hidayah ever be able to relive her memories with her son? And who’s Azmir? Watch this tearjerker of a spot to find out!
5. McDonald's Malaysia: Pulang
The very home that children grow up in tends to seem alien to them once their parents are no longer around. But even though a house has lost its pulse, it still faithfully awaits the return of its former inhabitants, all set to flood them with hundreds and thousands of memories.
This McDonald’s advert shows three siblings returning to their ancestral house many years after their parents have passed away. And as one would expect, it unleashes upon them memories after memories of their childhood and of their parents. Soon enough, they ready it for Eid celebrations and promised to keep the memories of their parents alive by visiting the house every year on Eid.
The heart of a house doesn’t stop beating when its inhabitants pass away– it stops when there’s nobody around to call it a home anymore!
Wrapping Up
And that’s a wrap of some of the most emotional Eid 2026 commercials. These ads leave behind more than just emotion– they leave behind reflection. Together, they remind viewers that Eid is not only about celebration, but also about remembrance, resilience, and the quiet ways in which love endures, even in the face of loss. Whether it is a child stepping into responsibility, a son learning to live with grief, or a home waiting to be filled again, each story captures a truth that resonates far beyond the festive moment.
Because in the end, while celebrations may fade and moments may pass, it is love– expressed through sacrifice, memory, and silent strength– that continues to linger, long after Eid has come and gone.
We’ll be back with more awesome ad campaigns for you. Till then, stay tuned!
